I have dealt with many recruiters over the past few years. One of my favorite sayings is this:
“Oh, don’t worry…no matter what the (company/client) decides I’ll be sure to let you know if your still in the running for the job.”
Seriously, stop that bullshit line.
There are so very few that actually do this…and for that they really should be reward.
But for the 90% that don’t…please return an email or phone call and let candidates know the truth.
